Ahmed Shaban Dawood is a senior legal translation professional with over 26 years of experience in legal, banking, financial, commercial, and corporate translation. Throughout his career, he has worked with leading law firms, multinational corporations, and financial institutions, developing extensive expertise in translating complex legal and commercial documentation.
He currently serves as the Head of the Legal Translation Department at Shalakany Law Office, where he oversees the translation and review of a broad range of legal documents, including commercial and investment agreements, financing and loan documentation, banking and capital market documents, legal opinions, litigation reports, financial statements, official correspondence, and court documents in both Arabic and English.
In addition to his professional practice, Ahmed has extensive experience as a legal translation and legal writing instructor, having delivered numerous training programs for lawyers, accountants, university students, and recent graduates through Ain Shams University and several leading professional training institutions.
His training methodology combines practical legal translation techniques with real-world case studies, enabling participants to develop the linguistic, legal, and drafting skills required to succeed in professional legal translation and to meet the standards expected by international law firms and corporate legal departments.
